The Watts and multiplier readouts on the 1980A-CD controller are blank but the HV power supply puts out -720 or -640 volts depending on the sensitivity range selected. There is also +/- 15 V on the circuit boards. Because of these problems I've cut the price in half for this equipment until I get a chance to repair it.

Type no. 1 has no window, type no. 2 has a polarizer, and type no. 3 has a diffuser. I currently have 2 each of type 3 in stock. Types 1 and 2 have been sold and are no longer available. A 12 to 15 V power supply or battery is required. A cable with a mating SMC connector to a BNC(m) connector is included.

The plate is mirrored except for the various grid/hash marks and the areas where the targets have been bonded. The grid is made up of 0.750”  squares. The etched circle is 6.000” diameter. The thick vertical hash marks just below the horizontal center line on the left side and above the center line on the right side are spaced 0.100’” apart with the two largest hash marks (nearest the center) being spaced exactly 2.0081” apart (according to a label on the plate). The 36 targets are Three Bar USAF 1951 negative on 0.30 x 0.30 x 0.063” thick glass. Each target has 6 groups of horizontal and vertical elements ranging from group 2 through group 7. The group no. 2, element no. 1 lines are the largest at 4 lines/mm while the group no. 7, element no. 6 lines are the smallest at 228 lines/mm.

The exterior surface around the first and third ports is machined flat. The exterior surface around the second port follows the curve of the sphere. The base material is spun aluminum and the exterior is not painted or anodized. The manufacturer is unknown.
